Labels Unlimited and A&M Label have announced the formation of Fortis Solutions Group, which combines the legacies and strengths of both organizations to deliver a more diversified and differentiated approach to printing, packaging and labeling under a joint new name.

The new company, helmed by former Labels Unlimited CEO John Wynne, Jr., and headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, USA, with additional manufacturing and sales locations in Memphis, TN, and Wixom, MI, will provide a breadth of product offerings utilizing both flexographic and digital printing capabilities. These offerings include pressure sensitive labels, extended booklet printing, variable data printing, multi-ply coupon printing and flexible packaging printing. According to the company, significant recent investment has been made in both prepress and pressroom technology.

“Both Labels Unlimited and A&M Label already shared a similar ethos, founded on providing solutions-driven customer service, so the decision to join forces for a stronger market presence was only logical,” Wynne says. “We are all very excited about the launch of the new brand and for the opportunity to bring an even better product to our customers in the food, automotive, retail as well as transportation and logistics sectors across the country.”

Employing over 175 employees across three sites, Fortis is ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949 certified in its Wixom, Mich. facility. The company intends to continue its pursuit of attractive acquisitions to further the breadth of product offerings and locations which can serve its customer base.
